SPINNEROOS IN SCHOOLSThe Spinneroos Table Tennis Program introduces students to the dynamic sport of table tennis through a progressive range of fun and innovative lessons and activities. With lesson plans that have been developed by leading Australian table tennis coaches and all content aligned to the Australian Curriculum, Spinneroos is an easy program to teach and learn. Spinneroos encompasses play, skill development and the game sense approach to ensure students have a great first experience with table tennis. Spinneroos is inspiring, engaging and FUN! For information on how to apply for funding, closing dates for applications and how much funding your school is entitled to, please visit the Sporting Schools website. Once your grant application is approved, you can select from the following Table Tennis packages and create a booking through the Sporting Schools- Booking Portal for Schools. PROGRAMSThe Spinneroos program can be delivered by a teacher at your school or an endorsed table tennis coach. Schools can choose from a range of our equipment packages, or TTA can help customise a package to suit your Sporting Schools budget and program needs. NOTE: All bookings are also subject to a $150 Booking fee. Teacher Delivered Program Teachers can access TTA's Spinneroos Online Coaching Platform, which includes comprehensive 4-8 week lesson plans, videos, and the latest resources to assist with program delivery. The lesson plans include detailed activity cards, skill progressions and modifications, game sense tips and reflection questions to support student development. The Spinneroos lesson plans have been developed by leading Australian table tennis coaches with content that is aligned to the Australian Curriculum, making Spinneroos easy to teach and learn! Access to the online coaching platform can be covered through Sporting Schools funding. Coach Delivered Program You can choose to have an endorsed Table Tennis coach come in and deliver the program for you! NOTE: All Spinneroos Coaching Packages are subject to coach availability in your area. Spinneroos in Schools- Partner Program with Special Olympics Australia Inclusive Spinneroos in Schools program is an adapted version of the Spinneroos program, catering for students with intellectual disabilities and autism. It has been designed by Table Tennis Australia in partnership with Special Olympics Australia for delivery in special education environments. Coaches are purposefully trained and provided with additional resources to deliver inclusive programs and to adapt activities to suit the needs of participating students |
2024 EQUIPMENT PACKAGESWe also offer equipment options suitable for the school environment and with the flexibility to meet your school’s individual needs. Many Table Tennis activities only require a bat and a ball, so it is the perfect sport to be played at home or to teach online. The following equipment packages and individual items are available for purchase through Table Tennis Australia and our national equipment partner Table Tennis World. If you can’t find a package below to suit your needs, please contact us and we can arrange a custom order to fit your budget and requirements. Please note that our Table Tennis equipment can be purchased separately and does not need to be paired with a coaching package. If you have left over funding from another sport, you are able to purchase durable, quality Table Tennis equipment for your students to use during recess, lunch, before or and after school. As per Sporting Schools guidelines schools can only spend a maximum of $1,650 (incl. GST) on grant supported equipment from Term 1, 2024. Equipment worth over $1,650 (incl GST) would require co-contribution from the school. Please note this does not include freight/delivery costs.
