RevSport Member User Guide (Exporting RevSport -> Importing Zermelo)

Welcome to the RevolutionisSport system support page that has been designed to cover how members can use the websites

From 2020, Table Tennis Australia, all Member States, and TTV Affiliates will be using Revolutionise Sport (RevSport) to manage member registrations and process entries for Tournaments.  RevSport allows individuals and affiliates to manage their own registration details through the online system.  It also allows members to manage their own personal details, register their membership, and for Tournaments & Pennants/Fixtures (Events in RevSport lingo) online.

  • Events -> details of the event you want to export
  • On the right – event reports
  • Untickall the boxes that default ticked in Attendee information except for Events and Event Names
  • Expand the line that says Associated member information
  • Tick the box that says Ratings Central ID Number
  • Scroll down and click Generate report, save the csv on the desktop
  • Open the csv, highlight the column with the RC ID’s in it, and copy.
  • Open a new excel document, paste the column. Delete the header text and replace with "Ratings Central ID". Highlight the column and remove duplicates
  • Have these 4 column headings, and here is an example of the other data to include:
Ratings Central ID Events Look Up Rating Look Up Personal Info Check In
15615 16 RC RC Here Now
36541 16 11 19 21 RC RC Here Now
  • The events numbers are for SINGLES ONLY. It does not import doubles, just singles.
  • Use "Save as...: and save the doc as player_import.csv
  • Open Zermelo
  • After doing the usual import of the Lists and creating all the events (there is a way to import events now), go to Players -> Import -> select the players_import.csv document you just created and import.
  • This will import all the players into Zermelo and if you have included event number for singles, it will have done that as well :)

Note: if you want to import them into the events, you need to make sure the event numbers are the same as what they are set up as in Zermelo. I've found on excel using replace all (i.e. "O/40 Men's Singles" replaced with "1") works well, and then =TEXTJOIN to create the number space number space formatting in the cell.
