Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and TTA Officiating Accreditation
Table Tennis Australia Ltd (TTA) offers the opportunity for Officials to provide evidence of their current level of competence or prior learning for TTA’s consideration to align officials to the appropriate level of the TTA Officiating Accreditation System. RPL is the assessment process that measures and evaluates the officials formal learning experiences elsewhere in the world
Current TTA officials seeking for re-accreditation do not go through this RPL process. Please refer to the TTA Re-Accreditation Requirements.
Candidates are required to provide evidence of their competency that demonstrates their skills, knowledge and experience and provide details of any relevant Table Tennis Officiating qualifications

Candidates are required to provide evidence of their competency that demonstrates their skills, knowledge and experience and provide details of any relevant Table Tennis Officiating qualifications.
International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Officiating Accreditation
TTA recognises the ITTF Officiating Accreditation System and will align current ITTF accredited Officiating to an appropriate TTA Officiating level. Evidence must be provided to TTA before the commencement of officiating.
International Level Officials
Candidates are required to provide an official letter from their prior host association, agreeing to transfer their qualification to Australia.
RPL Assessment Fee
In order to have an RPL application assessed, the applicant must pay a non-refundable assessment fee of $275 (inc. GST) for State & National accreditations and $100.00 for International. Note that if the RPL application is successful, the RPL application fee will cover the officials fee and professional indemnity insurance until their TTA Officiating Accreditation expires (3 years from the date of assessment).
RPL Process
The applicant completes and submits the RPL application form to TTA. The application form is on the TTA website at https://www.tabletennis.org.au/surveys/7602. An invoice will be sent to the applicant, and RPL assessment will only start once payment has been received. TTA will contact all applicants and verify the evidence provided (e.g. checking with ITTF). All applicants will receive the RPL outcome via email.
Submission documentation
The applicant shall provide the following documentation; a) RPL application form b) Current copy of relevant Working with Children Check c) Copies of relevant qualification, accreditation, training and workshops attendance, evidence of officiating, resumes, references, letter of supports, etc. d) letter from their prior association.
