- The injury/illness rule has been streamlined (Regulation 4.4).
- Adjusting the seedings requirements to ensure that the number of matches played can be maximised for all participants (Regulation A1.4).
- Adjusting the schedule to ensure that the events likely to attract the highest participation do not clash with each other (Regulation A1.7).
- Adding a note to assist new para players to know how to become Classified (Regulation A1.8).
TTA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS REGULATIONS

A summary of the amendments are:
- Minor grammatical changes throughout the document.
- Schedule of rotation for National Championships locations has been updated to reflect 2022 being complete and 2032 now being added (Regulation 2.2.1).
- The need for players to wear a name card on the back of their shirt (if they don’t already have their name printed on their shirt) has been removed as it is deemed an unnecessary requirement (Regulation 4.6).
- The injury/illness rule has been streamlined (Regulation 4.8).
- The wording around submitting preliminary entry forms has been streamlined (Regulation 5.2).
- The wording around submitting final entry forms has been streamlined and a requirement for States/Territories to formally appoint a Team Manager has been added (Regulation 5.3).
- Specifying that States/Territories are now only able to enter “C” Teams where a 2-person team format is used (Regulation 8.3.1).
- Senior & Youth (Women’s only) team events have been changed from a 3-person team format to a 2-person team format, which should enable help to maximise team participation, assist with getting more States/Territories to participate and strengthen these events (Regulation 8.3.2.2 and Appendix A1.3).
- Junior team events have been changed to a 7-match format. The current 9-match format is deemed as too tight from a scheduling perspective, as evidenced by many matches running overtime in 2022. Plus changing to a 7-match format enables doubles matches to be played in Junior teams events, which should help to increase the variability of results (Regulation 8.3.2.3).
- The production of final results and uploading of results into Ratings Central has been streamlined to match what occurs in reality (Regulation 12.3).
- The Order of Play table in team events has been amended to reflect the abovementioned changes (Appendix A1.7).
- Bronze medal matches will now be played for all Para individual events, which is deemed to provide additional important competition opportunities and ensures consistency with senior, youth and junior individual events (Appendix A2.8).
- The Order of Merit has been removed for Senior, Youth and Junior. This is deemed to be superfluous given the National Rankings are now released multiple times per year. However, the Order of Merit for the National Veterans Championships has been maintained, based on feedback from the Veterans survey (Appendix A3.3.1 and A3.3).
