Table Tennis Australia Announces Team Selections for Upcoming ITTF Oceania Senior and Junior Championships

Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is pleased to announce the official team selections for the upcoming 2025 ITTF Oceania Senior Championships to be played 7 – 11 June, and the 2025 ITTF Oceania Junior Championships to be played 12 – 16 June, in Christchurch, New Zealand. These prestigious events bring together the best athletes from the Oceania Region, and TTA is excited to showcase the talent of some of its top players.
The official 24-person team selected for the upcoming events are:
SENIOR TEAMS:
- Males: Aditya Sareen, Finn Luu, Hwan Bae and Nicholas Lum
- Females: Constantina Psihogios, Min Hyung Jee, Yangzi Liu and Wu Jiamuwa
JUNIOR TEAMS:
- Under 19 Males: Aditya Sareen, Clarence Cheng, Nie Chulong and Won Bae
- Under 19 Females: Cherry Le Nguyen, Chloe Cheng, Constantina Psihogios and Hanna Goh
- Under 15 Males: Aaron Nguyen, Andrew Li, Jingyu Jacob Huang and Lawrence Fan
- Under 15 Females: Alice Xia, Coral Zhao, Daisy Xie and Kavyaa Maddan
Australia has a proud history of competing at the Oceania Championships and the National Selection Panel are confident their selections will give Australia the greatest likelihood of competitive success in each of the specific event categories.
Rob Gomm, TTA General Manager Olympic Program said, “Competing at 2025 ITTF-Oceania Senior & Youth Championships is a fantastic opportunity for our athletes, and we believe this group will compete with passion and pride. I would like to wish athletes and coaches all the success at the Oceania Championships.”
Accompanying the team to New Zealand will be National Head Coach, Ricardo Oliveira, AIS Gen32 Scholarship Coach, Melissa Tapper, and Performance and Pathways Lead, Simon Gerada.
Ricardo Oliveira said, “The coaching team is excited to work with this playing group. We aim to perform at our best, knowing we represent more than just ourselves on the table. It’s about playing with pride, purpose, and unity.”
Teams, Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events will be played in all age groups. The National Coaches will determine all positions and advise players which individual events they have been selected to compete in.
Prior to the event, all team members will participate in a Melbourne-based training camp to prepare.
