Table Tennis Australia Holds Annual General Meeting and Strategic Forum
Published Sat 26 Apr 2025
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) convened its Annual General Meeting earlier today, bringing together key stakeholders from across the nation, marking an important moment for reflection, recognition and planning for the future of our sport.
During the AGM, Steve Knapp and William Henzell were reappointed to the Board as Elected Directors for a further two-year term, reaffirming their leadership and commitment to advancing table tennis in Australia. We congratulate them both and look forward to their continued contributions in guiding the organisation forward.
In recognition of their tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to table tennis in Australia, we were proud to award Life Membership to Bev and Brian James. Their long-standing service has had a profound and lasting impact on our table tennis community, and this honour is a testament to their legacy.
Following the AGM, a strategic forum workshop was held with attendees to explore the theme of future-proofing the sport. A key focus of the discussion was how to evolve our membership model to ensure it is inclusive, representative, and sustainable, creating the right categories and opportunities for all participants.
The forum also addressed the importance of developing a sustainable and profitable commercial approach, centred on building aligned partnerships with brands that share our values and can provide meaningful support to our sport.
Thank you to all attendees for your valuable insights and engagement. Together, we are shaping a strong and inclusive future for table tennis in Australia.
These discussions and outcomes of today's AGM and forum are part of TTA's strategic priorities for the coming years, focusing on governance, community engagement, and sustainable growth. By fostering a strong and inclusive table tennis community, TTA aims to elevate the sport to new heights and ensure its continued success in Australia.
