TTA Governance Reform Working Party - Applications Now Open

Published Sun 28 Jan 2018

As per previous correspondence, TTA has been working through a difficult period since mid-2017. To ensure that TTA recovers as quickly as possible, a range of financial, operational and administrative changes have been implemented. However, more work needs to be done to guarantee a full recovery and to ensure that similar instances are not repeated in the future.

A key pillar of moving forward is to ensure that TTA’s governance and oversight functions are operating in a best practice fashion. As such, we are now calling for applications for the TTA Governance Reform Working Party. The TTA Governance Reform Working Party will be charged with the following responsibilities:
- Reviewing TTA’s current governance and oversight functions.
- Identifying best practice governance and oversight functions.
- Making clear and simple recommendations that will enable TTA to address any governance and oversight shortfalls.
- Assisting with developing processes and procedures to implement any recommendations.

It is anticipated the TTA Governance Reform Working Party will operate for 6-9 months via teleconference and email until all responsibilities have been fulfilled. The intention is for high impact and tangible outcomes to be generated and the focus is on quality over quantity.

The TTA Governance Reform Working Party will be comprised of up to 5 people:
- At least 1 TTA Board Member
- At least 1 non-TTA Board Member
- The TTA Interim CEO

If you have the skills, knowledge and passion, want to make a difference to TTA and can commit yourself to 6-9 months of high impact service, we’d love to hear from you. Please note this is a voluntary position. To apply, please complete the attached TTA Governance Reform Working Party Application Form and submit it together with a current CV to Scott Houston at ceo@tabletennis.org.au. Please note, applications close at 5.00pm on Friday 16 February 2018. No late applications will be accepted.

Best regards,
Scott Houston
