Table Tennis Australia Announces Latrobe City Council’s Support for Two Upcoming National Events

Table Tennis Australia is excited to acknowledge the support of the Latrobe City Council for the upcoming 2025 TTA National Hopes Week & Challenge 7th – 11th April, and 2025 TTA Tour – Victoria 12th – 13th April, tournaments being held in Traralgon. The council’s funding will help cover the venue hire costs for both events, which will take place across the week at Traralgon’s Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium.
The two tournaments, which are expected to attract players from across the country, will showcase Australia’s finest up and coming table tennis talent while providing an opportunity for athletes to compete in national level matches. Latrobe City Council’s backing will ensure that the facilities are of the highest standard, making it an ideal setting for these key events.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Latrobe City Council in supporting these two significant tournaments in Traralgon,” said Nicole Adamson, CEO of Table Tennis Australia. “The council’s funding will make a big difference, not only in supporting the provision of an excellent venue for the events but also in helping us grow the sport in regional areas. This is an exciting opportunity for the local community to witness top-tier table tennis right on their doorstep.”
By providing funding to assist with venue hire, Latrobe City Council aims to bring high-quality sporting competitions to the region, boosting local engagement and promoting regional Victoria as a destination for major events.
“Council is proud to support the upcoming Table Tennis Australia tournaments in Traralgon," said Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman.
"Sport is a powerful way to bring communities together, and hosting these Table Tennis events is a great opportunity to promote physical activity and regional tourism. We look forward to welcoming athletes, their families, and spectators to our region."
