Thank You TTA Governance Reform Working Group

At the TTA Board Meeting held on 25 July 2019, it was determined that the TTA Governance Reform Working Group (GRWG) is to be wound up. Although governance and oversight is and will continue to be a crucial element of TTA’s operations, the GRWG was charged with implementing a scope of works when it was formed in February 2018, which is now complete.

The list of governance reforms undertaken over the past 18 months is comprehensive, either through developing or redeveloping documents and procedures. The GRWG and the TTA Board are to be credited with ensuring that TTA’s governance and oversight has significantly improved following the difficulties faced in late 2017.

A summary of all reforms includes:

  • Governance related policies and documents: TTA Membership Regulations, TTA Disciplinary Proceedings Regulations, Director Position Descriptions, TTA Board Charter and Code of Conduct, Delegation of Powers, Conflict of Interest Register, Annual Work Plan, TTA Board and Board Sub-Committees Expenses Register, TTA Gift Register, TTA Privacy Policy, Independent Review into Governance at TTA.
  • High Performance policies and documents: National Selection Policy, TTA Migration Support Policy, National Rankings Regulations, TTA Player of the Year Regulations.
  • National Events policies and documents: National Championships Regulations (Juniors, Senior & Youth, Veterans), National Championships Regulations (Para).
  • TTA Board Sub-Committee Charter development: TTA Finance, Risk & Audit Committee, TTA Nominations Committee, TTA National Selection Panel, TTA National Advisory Panel, TTA Umpires & Referees Committee.
  • A full suite of Board policies.
  • A full suite of staff policies.

The GRWG was comprised of Ian Fullagar (Chairperson), Sarah Sandley and David Brooks. Thank you to each of you for your contribution to the resurgence of TTA, we are now in a much stronger position than prior to the GRWG being implemented.
