High Performance Abled Bodied Program Review
Published Mon 23 Sep 2024
We are pleased to provide some information on the Table Tennis Australia High Performance Abled Bodied Program's post-Olympic review. As per our funding agreements a review of the high-performance program occurs every four years at the conclusion of the Olympic cycle.
Our CEO, Ms Nicole Adamson, has now had one year in the role and has had the opportunity to consider what’s working and what needs improving. This is the right time to reflect on the policies, processes and structures that drive our success, including but not limited to staffing roles and responsibilities, our National Selection Policy, and the Appeal Process.
Table Tennis Australia is committed to continuous improvement, and the review will focus on identifying strengths within our current framework, while also recognising areas that need refinement and improvement to ensure we maintain the highest standards of excellence in the future.
As CEO, Ms Adamson will spearhead the review, together with a panel of subject matter experts including an independent representative from the Australian Sports Commission/Australian Institute of Sport.
The review panel will engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels for appropriate collaboration throughout the process. TTA are committed to ensuring that our athletes voices are heard and at appropriate times will be consulting with you as National Squad Members and parents.
We need to continue to evolve our strategies to align with the changing landscape of high-performance sport, to ensure that we remain at the forefront of international competition and to give Table Tennis in Australia the greatest opportunity for success on the global stage.
It is expected that the review process will take approximately two months, beginning at the start of October 2024 and concluding early December 2024.
Further details will be shared in due course. Table Tennis Australia look forward to your continued support and involvement as we move forward with this review.
