David Delpratt Inducted into the TTA Hall of Fame

The TTA Hall of Fame recognises outstanding contributions made to table tennis in the fields of playing, coaching, officiating and/or administering the sport. A person may only be inducted to the TTA Hall of Fame by meeting the criteria listed in the TTA Hall of Fame Regulations.

TTA is pleased to announce that David Delpratt has been inducted into the TTA Hall of Fame (Referees & Umpires). David is one of Australia’s greatest ever Officials, enjoying a decorated career over more than 25 years, summarised as:

David is one of the inaugural inductees in the Referees & Umpires category.

Additionally, David’s conduct, characterised by demonstrating good sportsmanship, acting within the spirit of the game, attitude and behaviour, being a positive role model, etiquette and adherence to the laws of the game is a positive example for others to follow.

David has championed the cause for creating and upskilling Umpires and Referees. David has conducted Umpires Courses in Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Guam, Palau and New Caledonia. Dave has also conducted many Umpire and Referee courses in Australia.

David was a long-standing member of the TTA National Umpires & Referees Committee and still serves on the Table Tennis Queensland Umpires & Referees Committee. David also acted as an ITTF Umpires & Referees Committee interviewer of Blue Badge Umpire candidates for several years.
