Australian Veterans Collect Massive Medal Haul in New Zealand

The Australian Veterans team comprising 13 women and 19 men ventured to Nelson, New Zealand over the Easter long weekend for the Trans Tasman Test Match and the New Zealand National Veterans Championships. This was the first time Australian Veterans players have headed to New Zealand since 2019 and the events were a big success overall.

TRANS TASMAN TEST MATCH
The Trans Tasman Test Match was held on 6 April. After a tight tussle across all age groups, the match sensationally finished in a draw at 30 rubbers apiece.

NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The New Zealand National Veterans Championships were played between 7-10 April. Overall the Australian players performed outstandingly, claiming a whopping 14 gold, 21 silver and 27 bronze medals.
