Australia Withdraws from 2023 ITTF World Championships Bid

TTA wishes to inform that unfortunately we have had to withdraw from the bidding process to host the 2023 ITTF World Championships in Australia. The funding required to underpin the event is unable to be guaranteed within the required timeframe.
Although TTA is disappointed with the outcome as we were confident of our bid being successful, we are unable to proceed without financial surety. TTA will now look towards other future world events with a view of showcasing the best of Australia to the global table tennis family. We wish Germany and South Africa the best of luck for their respective bids.
