2019 National Junior Championships - Awards Wrap

Multiple awards were presented at the 2019 National Junior Championships Closing Function. Congratulations to all award recipients:

BEST PERFORMANCE AWARDS
Congratulations to all athletes who won Best Performance Awards here in Wollongong. 

The Best Performance Awards take into consideration the number of medals won in each event with 5 points for gold, 4 points for silver, 3 points for bronze, 2 points for 4th place, and 1 point for all other results. The player with the highest number of points in each age group is awarded the Best Performance Award.

Special mention to NKR Solutions for sponsoring the awards.

All award winners were: 
- Under 18 Girls: Parleen Kaur (VIC)
- Under 18 Boys: Finn Luu (VIC)
- Under 15 Girls: Angela Wang (NSW)
- Under 15 Boys: Nicholas Lum (VIC)
- Under 13 Girls: Celine Chen (NSW)
- Under 13 Boys: Clarence Cheng (NSW)
- Under 11 Girls: Daisy Xie (NSW)
- Under 11 Boys: Oscar Savige (QLD)

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Congratulations to Nicholas Lum for winning the Outstanding Achievement Award.

The Outstanding Achievement Award is determined by the Tournament Management Committee and is only open to those who have won an event. Overall results to win an event are taken into consideration.

Nicholas received the award in recognition of winning the Under 15 Boys Singles event, where he only dropped one game en route to the title in a dominant display.

Nicholas also receives a cash prize of $250 for winning the award.

AGGREGATE CHAMPION AWARD
Congratulations to Table Tennis NSW for taking out the Aggregate Champion Award, which is awarded to a State/Territory Association based on the aggregate results attained throughout the championships.

The Aggregate Champion Award takes into consideration the number of medals won in each event with 5 points for gold, 4 points for silver, 3 points for bronze, 2 points for 4th place, and 1 point for all other results. The State/Territory with the highest number of points across all age groups is awarded the Aggregate Champion Award.

Special mention to WA Eye Specialists for sponsoring the award.

The final points tally was:
1. NSW – 181.5 points
2. Victoria – 176.5 points 
3. Queensland – 73.5 points
4. South Australia – 57 points 
5. Western Australia – 30 points
6. ACT – 17.5 points 
7. Northern Territory – 14.5 points
8. New Zealand – 14 points
9. Tasmania – 3.5 points
