"THE DREAM STARTS HERE"

HOPES PROGRAM - If your child is born in 2010 or later, sign up now. They will improve their game, learn from TTA National Coach Eva Jeler and have a chance to qualify for the 2022 National Hopes Squad. 

IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM - is aimed at all ages and is managed by TTA National Performance Pathways Team and Coaches including John Murphy, Eva Jeler, Simon Gerada, Hongbo Liang and Franck Roguiez. The Identification program is aimed at identifiying athletes of all ages with potential to progress through the Table Tennis Tennis Australia Pathway from Identified Athletes to National Squad or Podium Potential at the Highest Level. 

The National Identification program aims to

  • review every individual athlete’s progression against the TTA HP Podium Profile 
  • create individual athlete and S&T program plans
  • provide opportunity for all athletes to become categorised in the Table Tennis Australia squad matrix
  • Guest appearances from National Team players, including acting as training partners.

Given the critical importance of the core skills required for performance, this program will provide the required skills that are coached to athletes across the pathway. Expert coaches will lead the process through their experiences in the sport. 

Skill acquisition specialist will provide an expert viewpoint about skill learning and teaching methods in group format to later provide individually along the pathway.

The cost to attend the National Identification Program is a fee of $435 per player EARLY BIRD, closing 12 March 2022 or $485 standard fee closing 15 March. Included in the camp is:

  • a 4-day training camp with National Team coaches.
  • 8 training sessions total, including testing, planning and monitoiring program. 
  • an individual athlete review and progression model against the TTA HP Podium Profile 
  • creation of an individual athlete program plan

SCHEDULE AND ELIGIBILITY:

 

  • Tuesday 15 March Training Camp – Day 1 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Wednesday 16 March Training Camp – Day 2 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Thursday 17 March Training Camp – Day 3 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Friday 18 March Training Camp – Day 4 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Saturday 19 March Competition – State Hopes Challenge, State Mini Hopes Challenge and State Identification Camp Competition from 2:30pm to 7:30pm

Note. All registered athletes will receive a formal invitation from National Program Manager requesting flexibility from school to leave early as a recognised Identified athlete.

Please also note players are required to participate at the State Hopes Week to be eligible to compete and participate in the National Hopes Week. TTA may assist, waive or include any athlete in its absolute discretion.
