  • Extensive experience as a Board Director, as a public sector Chief Executive and in operating a sole trader business. 
  • A lifetime involvement with table tennis as a player, coach, official and administrator.
  • Board Director for Table Tennis Australia from October 2017, including a period as Vice President and from 2020 as President. As a Board Director, I played an important role in the reform of the Board at the end of 2017 and early 2018 and in the recovery of TTA from 2017 to 2020.

  • My priorities include growing Table Tennis in Australia to be the “first” amongst “minor” sports, particularly through:
    o    TTA and State/Territory Associations working together more effectively
    o    Raising the profile of the sport and enhancing its image
    o    Significantly increasing commercial revenue as a proportion of the budget
    o    Significantly increasing the % of women and young children participating in the sport

Steve Knapp

  • Over 5 years of experience working in Human Resource Management specialising in Public Sector Industrial Relations and Recruitment
  • My priorities include growing table tennis in Australia, particularly through
    • Driving a national umpires and referees strategy to attract, retain and increase the number of qualified officials to achieve greater gender diversity and a younger age profile
    • Contributing to decisions at the national level by working with the leadership teams across the states/territories in a consultative, approachable and open manner
    • Leveraging shared resources, capabilities and knowledge to achieve greater unified outcomes for the sport
    • Ensuring that table tennis remains a sport that provides 'something for everyone' to sustain stakeholder engagement and increase the growth of players, volunteers, officials and coaches.

Maggie Roberts

  • CEO of Creative Factory:  For over a decade, has led Creative Factory, one of Australia's most successful design and digital agencies, delivering hundreds of digital developments for notable clients such as Carsales.com.au, The Wine Collective, My Prosperity, Village Cinemas, and Pancake Parlour.
  • Board Experience:  Served on the Diving Australia Board for nine years before her tenure with Table Tennis Australia, showcasing her extensive experience in sports governance and administration.
  • Former Elite Athlete:  Has represented Australia in three different sports, with her greatest success in diving, which provided opportunities to travel globally and secure a full scholarship in the USA.
